Avui fa 75 anys el president Lluís Companys fou afusellat

Avui fa 75 anys que Lluís Companys, president de Catalunya, fou afusellat per ordre del general Franco. Les seves últimes paraules, davant del piquet d’execució, van ser: “Per Catalunya!”.

En el seu testament polític, redactat poc abans, escrivia: “La meva petitesa no podia esperar una fi més digna. Per Catalunya i el que representa de Pau, Justícia i Amor“.

Us recomanem de llegir la seva darrera i commovedora carta adreçada a Carme Ballester, la seva segona esposa.
