Un motocarro, marca Is, Isocarro, li servia al pare per fer de recadero, ningú li deia l’ordinari. Feia un viatge al matí i un altre a la tarda, entre Sant Fruitós i Manresa. L’any 1961 s’estrena la pel·lícula Plácido, que Luís García Berlanga filma a Manresa. Amb Cassen de protagonista, portant un motocarro, com el del pare. La pel·lícula refeia la campanya Cene con un pobre. I ha quedat escrit: “Berlanga buscava poder fer-ho en interiors naturals, però cap ric li ho va permetre, a excepció d’un director català amic, que li va deixar el menjador de la seva casa de Barcelona”. Sota el Carme hi ha uns pobres habitatges que surten a la pel·lícula. S’hi passeja per saber què reconeix. I troba divertit que el pare també es digui Plácido/Plàssidu, encara que aquests dies el seu motocarro no porti cap estel.
